Who is the workshop for? Beginners through to intermediate. When and where are the workshops? Workshops last three-and-a-half hours, and you can choose from a variety of venues across Brisbane. What kind of camera do I need? Anything digital or film - it could be a big "SLR" camera or a tiny pocket camera. We'll show you how to get amazing travel and landscape photos with your camera. What do I need to know already? How to put in batteries and memory card (or film), how to turn the camera on, and how to take a photo and see photos you have taken on your camera's screen How technical does it get? Not at all. If you're one of the 95% of people who want to just take great photos without all the maths and jargon, you've come to the right place. What's not covered? Getting images onto your computer; editing images on your computer; or the ins-and-outs of every function on your camera (except for all the key functions for great travel and landscape shots) What should I bring? Your camera with freshly-charged batteries and enough space on a memory card to take at least 60 photos. No need to bring your instruction manual, as we read it for you and make cheat cards customised to your exact camera model. If you're using film, we recommend that you bring one roll of 100 speed or 200 speed print film. Dean who? Dean Holland brings 20 years' experience in photography, and 15 years' experience and a PhD in adult learning. He's an author in 3 books related to adult learning, and has run hundreds of workshops in 7 countries in 2 languages.
