Photography courses with Steve Parish
A love for nature shared through photography
Take Better Photos and Steve Parish Nature Connect have come together to offer unique workshops, combining Steve's unparalleled photographic experience with our support to use your own camera.
Introduction to Wildlife Photography – Learn to Shoot Like Steve Parish with Your Own Camera
Saturday 9th June, 8:30am, Chermside West. $350
Learn hands-on direct from Steve Parish as you photograph a range of native animals and birds up close with licensed handlers. Take your time in a small group and get direct support and feedback from Steve as you go.
The workshop is a blend of Steve demonstrating his techniques with hands-on photographing animals up close with Steve, and optional hands-on practical settings with Dean if you need them.
Includes extensive notes plus cheat cards showing you Steve’s key settings translated to your actual camera model
We’ve created this program for participants with skills from basic through to advanced. You don't need skills beyond what you learn on our basic courses "Capturing Joy" or "Travel & Landscape photography".
Bring your camera and a tripod (or let us know if you'd like to borrow either).
Numbers are limited to 16, so book now to secure your place.
The Art of Seeing City Walk with Steve Parish and Take Better Photos
Saturday 9th June, 2:30pm, South Bank. $300
Come on a walk with Steve Parish, and learn to see the world through his eyes. We kick off with an hour making sure everyone is confident to apply Steve's settings on their own camera, then we explore South Bank together with Steve through daylight, dusk and night. Learn to see and shoot calendar-grade photos everywhere you look: a leaf, the city, the lights. You'll be stunned by the beauty that Steve will help you find in the humblest things.
You only need basic experience with your camera, such as from our "Travel & Landscape" beginners' photography course, but even experienced photographers will start to learn how to see like Steve Parish. Bring your camera and a tripod (or let us know if you'd like to borrow either).
